BROSA invests in High-Power Calibration Technology

The developer and manufacturer of high precise and robust pressure transducers and load cells, BROSA AG, continues its more than 80 year history of success.

Customers demand sensors with ever increasing measurement range. A last successfully passed project in the offshore sector determined BROSA to acquire an even more powerful calibration machine, due to the fact that a measurement range of -3400…+5700 kN was required. By this investment BROSA has the ability to calibrate sensors with a breaking load up to 12 MN locally.

Martin Wagner, Senior Executive President of BROSA, says: “We always try to accomplish current and future requirements of our customers. This is only possible through permanent further development and innovation. And we are proud to be one of the few leading companies in Europe which is able to calibrate such high loads.”

Thanks to this capital expenditure customer’s orders can be processed faster and more cost-effective, since all stages of production take place beneath the same roof. This has the side benefit that every work step performs our high in-house requirements.

“The purchase was only possible due to our positive economic situation and increasing order numbers. I feel confident that we can expand our share in the offshore market thanks to the acquisition of this calibration machine as well as constantly further development in the field of sensor technology” Mr. Wagner adds.

Through continuous further development with the goal to achieve perfection in meeting customer requirements, BROSA will be one step ahead regarding the market’s requirements. Only those who are passionate about developing products will never stop asking questions.

BROSA is the leading manufacturer of load cells and pressure transducers as well as electronic components and has its head office in Tettnang, South Germany. The company, which has a vertical range of manufacture of over 95%, is specialized in customer-specific sensors for safety-related applications. With its more than 100 employees, BROSA produces more than 12.000 sensors a year.

Even the Offshore Industry published an article about our new calibration machine in its May issue.
